We completed a project in Manassas, Virginia for a client that lives in a home that is on a large wooded lot. Without any street lights and “living in the woods”, their home was incredibly dark at night. When they would pull in their driveway, it was so dark they could not see anything around their home. They also have two dogs, and whenever they took them for a late night walk, the dogs would disappear into the darkness.
They called us to see their options. The obvious answer they were thinking was to simply have security lights put in on every corner of the house. We call this the prison break out look. This does provide security, but the spot lights are harsh and they do nothing to enhance the curb appeal of the home. Our solution included uplighting the front of the home and uplighting some trees in front. This indirect lighting provided the safety and security our clients were looking for, while enhancing the look of the home.
Now our clients now always come home to the safety and security of a truly professional lighting system. They can also always keep an eye on their dogs whenever they choose to let them out.
