We always like to keep people up to date on some of our recent local projects. We recently completed a project in Fairfax Station. Although you probably cannot tell, this as with all of our projects is all LED. In our nighttime design or customers wanted to keep everything very simple. We decided not to light up the second story of the house. We instead decided to focus on the stone work and the columns in front. The lighting on the garage provided enough “spill lighting” or indirect lighting to light up the sidewalk. Therefore we did not need any path lights along their newly installed stone walkway.
They had a few trees that our customers wanted to high light. We applied extra lights on the Crape Myrtle. This tree was not only in the perfect place, but it was also beautifully shaped for lighting. We placed some small lights on the Japanese Maple and the red maple at the end of the driveway.
This was a project where less is more. Every light fixture had a major impact on the overall look of the property. We also received the ultimate compliment tonight. Our customers were so excited with how the lighting turned out in front, they had us out to design the back.
